Building Smarter, Safer, More Sustainable Cities — One Rack at a Time
Lockstop modernizes everyday bike infrastructure by transforming standard racks into secure, connected assets that make active transportation more reliable, measurable, and accessible.

About Lockstop
Lockstop is activating the future of connected micromobility infrastructure. Rooted in the belief that safer, smarter cities begin at the destination, we transform standard bike racks into secure, connected assets that make cycling more reliable and rewarding.
Our simple retrofit system installs in hours—without construction, wiring, or permitting—and instantly upgrades existing racks into modern, measurable infrastructure. For riders, that means trusted, theft-resistant parking at every stop. For cities, campuses, and developers, it means real visibility into how bike networks are used and how to improve them.
We partner with municipalities and mobility leaders to build active transportation systems that perform better, last longer, and serve everyone.

What Drives Us
Vision
A world where every city is designed for movement that’s safe, sustainable, and human—where biking is the most trusted, accessible, and joyful way to get around.
Mission
To help cities and communities make cycling safer, smarter, and more sustainable by transforming everyday bike infrastructure into connected systems that people trust and love to use.

Values
-
Sustainability: We build smarter, cleaner cities by enabling active transportation and making the most of the infrastructure that already exists.

-
Trust: We design technology that people can depend on—secure, transparent, and built to make riding feel effortless and safe.

-
Collaboration: We work hand-in-hand with cities, campuses, and communities to strengthen local networks and achieve shared goals.

-
Accessibility: We believe everyone deserves safe, reliable mobility. Our systems are built to serve all riders, everywhere.

Meet the Team Driving Lockstop Forward
Lockstop is built by cyclists, engineers, urbanists, and civic technologists who believe cities work better when people can move freely and safely. Our team combines expertise in hardware design, mobility systems, urban planning, public policy, and data intelligence.

Our Story
Lockstop was born out of a simple question: If cities are investing billions in active transportation, why aren’t more people riding?

Bike lanes were growing, racks were multiplying, but riders still couldn’t trust their bikes would be there when they returned. Cities couldn’t measure how their networks were being used. And communities lacked the infrastructure intelligence needed to unlock the full value of their mobility investments.

While studying in the MBA program at the University of Arkansas, our founders recognized this gap as both a systemic failure and a massive opportunity. They created an affordable, scalable retrofit device that attaches to any standard bike rack, turning everyday infrastructure into secure, connected systems cities can deploy instantly.

From early prototypes in Northwest Arkansas to large-scale deployments in innovation zones and communities across the U.S., Lockstop has grown into a hardware-enabled intelligence platform helping cities modernize their mobility networks—without rebuilding them.

Today, we’re trusted by municipalities, developers, cultural institutions, and mobility programs nationwide who see Lockstop as the connective layer that makes cycling truly work.
